As we end the 2012/13 Season we are looking to strengthen our teams for next season after some great results and we have new teams coming out of our Saturday Soccer School.

The saturday soccer school is for kids aged 4 to 7 years old, in partnership with Brazilian Soccer which has been a fantastic success.
We have a new club sponsor in whitehorn & guard estate agents which is the best news we could have received especially with the economic situation in the UK.

Next season (2013/2014) we will have as a minimum:
    One team at Under 7
    One team at Under 8
    One team at under 9
    Three teams at under 10
    Single teams at Under 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15`s
    Two under 18 teams
2 Senior team playing in the Drew Smith Leagues

Botley Village FC are the only club in the local area to have been a fully approved Standard Chartered Football Club for many years.
The FA Charter is a formal framework to improve the quality of football by placing the players' needs at the heart of the club's activities. Our club has adopted this because it enables us to aim for a high standard and to verify that we are taking all possible action to achieve them.

The Charter Standard defines requirements for:

    A formal club constitution.
Affiliation to the local county Football Association.
Management Committee and an effective management process.
    Annual General and Management meetings.
    Maintenance of club accounts.
    Membership procedures.
    Child Protection.
    Code of Conduct.
    Disciplinary Procedure.
Designating a club Child Protection Officer.
Formal training for officials, managers and assistants in Child Protection matters Vetting of officials, coaches, managers and volunteers.
Codes of conduct for coaches/managers, players, officials and parents/spectators.
Defining what is required for Fair Play, Equal opportunity, Respect, Behaviour and expectations.
Formal football coaching training for The coaches, managers and volunteers

What does this mean for our club?

We want to provide a safe and high quality experience of playing football from the moment a player joins our club. The FA Charter defines what we need to do to achieve this. We have Codes of Conduct, Disciplinary Procedure and a club Development Plan. By following the requirements of the Charter we have put in place people, processes and actions to ensure we can provide a high standard for players and their families. All of this will help ensure the future growth of our club.

We now have 20 qualified LEVEL 1 and 2 level II coaches running teams from u8 through to u18`s and Men's teams.
