While away for a weekend break at Whitsun, 2010, my daughter Grace asked if I could start a girls football team, as she had 3 friends that wanted to start a team. A quick phone call to Paul Sellen when we got back and 48 hours later he had us registered in the Mid-Solent 7-a-side League!

Due to a combination of work commitments for me, and school activities for the girls we didn't start training until July. A couple of girls who came along initially drifted off again as they realised it would clash with other interests. The deadline date for registering the players loomed ever closer and still we only had 6 players. What we lacked was a goalkeeper (minor point!). However, a goalie we have found and my magnificent seven were ready for action.
