Welcome to the Botley Village Football Club
We are always looking for new players so if your interested please contact us via the contact tab top right or call or text Rick on 07730 465747. Or go the team page for your age group and contact the managers directly.
We are a family style run club and all Managers have a say in the running of the club so all parents have a voice through their Team Manager which we are very proud of.
We have a superb Saturday Soccer School running that has over 50 Boys & Girls that attend from ages 4 to 7 which generates teams from under 7 age playing in the Eastleigh Mini Soccer League.
We have a club sponsor in Whitehorn & Guard Estate Agents which is great as all teams play in the same kit. This great for our club especially with the economic situation in the UK so thanks to Whitehorn & Guard for their continued support.
We have currently in the 2013/2014 season:
Two teams at Under 7
Two teams at Under 8
One team at Under 9
Three teams at Under 10
Single teams at Under 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15`s
One Under 18 teams playing in Division 1
One Senior team playing in the Drew Smith Division 2 League
So if you are intrested in joining the club please drop us a mail or to follow your favourite teams progress why not add us to your favourites.
Botley Village FC are the only club in the local area to have been a fully approved Standard Chartered Football Club for many years.
The FA Charter is a formal framework to improve the quality of football by placing the players' needs at the heart of the club's activities. Our club has adopted this because it enables us to aim for a high standard and to verify that we are taking all possible action to achieve them.
The Charter Standard defines requirements for:
A formal club constitution.
Affiliation to the local county Football Association.
Management Committee and an effective management process.
Annual General and Management meetings.
Maintenance of club accounts.
Code of Conduct.
Designating a club Child Protection Officer.
Formal training for officials, managers and assistants in Child Protection matters Vetting of officials, coaches, managers and volunteers.
Codes of conduct for coaches/managers, players, officials and parents/spectators.
Defining what is required for Fair Play, Equal opportunity, Respect, Behaviour and expectations.
Formal football coaching training for The coaches, managers and volunteers
What does this mean for our club?
We want to provide a safe and high quality experience of playing football from the moment a player joins our club. The FA Charter defines what we need to do to achieve this. We have Codes of Conduct, Disciplinary Procedure and a club Development Plan. By following the requirements of the Charter we have put in place people, processes and actions to ensure we can provide a high standard for players and their families. All of this will help ensure the future growth of our club.
We now have 20 qualified LEVEL 1 and 2 level II coaches running teams from u8 through to u18`s and Men's teams.
